Do You Think Gabrielle Union Would Have Played The Role Of Olivia Pope In Scandal Better Than Kerry Washington?

Wondering why I'm asking? Well I just found out actress, Gabrielle Union was close to landing the role of Olivia Pope in the hit series, “Scandal” but lost it to Kerry Washington who by the way in my opinion is nailing that character big time.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Union revealed that she lost the lead role on ABC's Scandal to Kerry Washington but got her own show “Being Mary Jane” which according to her is better than Scandal;

"I said to myself, Oh my God, these roles are out there. It showed me that you don't have to settle. Luckily, the success of her and the show bred more work. Just from the audition process, I knew that I couldn't go backward. 

I didn't get Scandal, but I got something better which is my own show, it's all about building a legacy. This new opportunity is something I feel that can grow."

Eerrm, I don't know if anyone can play that role better than Washington and well till I see that her new series, Scandal is still on the top for me. What do you think?

Wizkid Justifies Replacing His N15million Porsche Panamera Car After Accident

The pop star has been heavily criticized after replacing his N15million Porsche Panamera car with a brand new one less than few weeks after crashing it in an accident. During an interview with Encomium magazine, he talks about the reason why he purchased the new car. Read the excerpt below,

"I needed to get another one because after the accident, I didn't have a car and I have to move around. I started taking cabs before I decided to buy this new car to move around. It is needed for work. And I don't think there's anything wrong in splashing millions on a car. If someone works hard and decides to spend on something that he thinks is good for him, why not? In fact, I don't think there's need to justify whether its is wrong or not. I work hard and I will enjoy my money"

Kanye West Reveals Father's Day Gift From Kim Kardashian

To celebrate his first Father’s Day, Kim Kardashian gave Kanye West a pair of mice signed by Apple founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Kanye revealed the presents on Twitter saying, “one of the other gifts my girl gave me for fathers day”.

Kim also invited Woz to meet Kanye as a gift for his 36th birthday. During his visit to the couple’s house, the tech pioneer also met their daughter North West.

Wondering why this gift right, well Kanye has always been an admirer of the iconic Apple co-founder, late Steve Jobs. In a recent interview with the New York Times, West, 36, shared his hopes of one day becoming as influential as the late Jobs. Referring to himself in the third person, he said;

Former Super Eagles Footballer, Thompson Oliha Dies At 44

He was reportedly vomiting on Saturday after he led the Kwara State Football Academy team to a victory over visiting Ben Machezie Football Foundation of Mali. His ill-health was said to have deteriorated on Sunday morning when he slumped in a toilet at his Offa Garage residence in Ilorin, Kwara State. He was immediatley taken to Yusjib Industrial Medicare by his family members and neighbors where he later died.

Oliha was born on  October 4, 1968 in Benin, Edo State. He was a member of the Super Eagles that won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia and was also in the team at the 1994 World Cup in the USA.

Oliha featured for Bendel Insurance from 1985 to 1987, Iwuanyanwu Nationale from 1988 from 1991, Africa Sports of Abidjan from 1992 to 1993, Maccabi Ironi Ashdod in Israel from 1993 to 1994 and later Antalyaspor of Turkey in 1995.

He was awarded before the actual award ceremony at the Nokia Theater, Los Angeles started beating out 2face, Toya Delazy (South Africa), Donald (South Africa), R2Bees (Ghana) & Radio and Weasel (Uganda).

Losing last year to WizKid & Sarkodie from Ghana, this makes Ice Prince the 4th Nigerian to win this award, joining WizKid (2012), Dbanj & 2face (2011).
