Petroleum Minister's Son Ugonna Madueke defends his Published Photos

Ugonna Madueke finally breaks his silence on his Pictures showing a flashy lifestyle.

He responded with the Below Statement....
“It was with great dismay that I awoke a few days ago to see the pictorial publications being circulated about my family and me by the on-line media. It has stirred up a great deal of controversy and has portrayed our family in a negative light.
The pictures posted were taken over a period of time, some before my mother left the private sector as an ED at Shell to work for the Nigerian government.  Although I benefited from a comfortable upbringing I was raised in a fairly strict environment by a military father who insisted that we worked to support ourselves whilst in school. He ensured that we had the basic minimum to support us covering tuition food and transport only.

Press Release: President Jonathan on Kano's Bomb Blasts

 From Sahara Reporters,

President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed his condolences to all victims, including the management and staff of Channels Television, following the multiple bomb blasts and acts of violence which rocked the city of Kano on Friday, in which seven persons were confirmed dead and others wounded.

The President said:
“It is with a heart  full of sadness  and pain that I convey my condolences on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria to  the families, friends, associates and relatives of all those who lost their lives in the acts of violence in Kano on Friday. These are honest and patriotic Nigerians who were brutally and recklessly cut down by agents of terror.

Kano Blasts: At Least 162 Dead!

Bomb attacks targeting security forces and gun battles killed at least 162 people in Nigeria’s second-largest city of Kano, with some 80 corpses in a morgue as bodies littered the streets on Saturday.

A 24-hour curfew was also imposed on Kano, the largest city in Nigeria’s mainly Muslim north and which exploded into violence on Friday evening, with eight police and immigration offices or residences targeted.

The main newspaper in the north said that a purported spokesman for Islamist group Boko Haram had claimed responsibility for the violence, saying it was in response to authorities' refusal to release its members from custody.

Scores of such attacks in Nigeria's north have been blamed on Boko Haram, though Friday's would be among the group's most audacious and well-coordinated assaults.

#Occupy Nigeria: Jonathan Orders Arrest Of Femi Falana, Tunde Bakare, Dino Melaye And Shehu Sanni

From Sahara Reporters;

In a bid to undermine the growing protest against his government's removal of fuel subsidy, President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the SSS to arrest civil rights attorney, Femi Falana, Fiery Lagos pastor, Tunde Bakare, ex-member of house of representatives, Dino Melaye and and Kaduna based activist, Shehu Sanni.

Two sources within the State Security Services told Saharareporters that the security agency had received presidential instructions to move against these four men as well as other perceived organizers of the resistance against the government's dramatic  increase of the price of fuel.

"The presidency has decided that the way to break the protest is to go after those that the government believed to be the brains organizing the #Occupy Nigeria protests, " said one of the sources.

Jonathan Hires Asari Dokubo, Other Niger Delta Militants To Threaten Labor Union Leaders

Asari Dokubo
From Sahara Reporters

Determined not to bow to the popular wishes of Nigerians who are protesting against his government’s hike in fuel prices, President Goodluck Jonathan has resorted to hiring Niger Delta militants to threaten labor union activists who are currently leading their workers in a nation-wide strike. Our sources within the government revealed that Asari Dokubo, an ex-Niger Delta militant turned government lackey, had been recruited to coordinate the intimidation of critical sectors of the protesters.

In interviews earlier today, two officials of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) told SaharaReporters that Asari Dokubo had made several threatening phone calls to Folorunso Oginni, the chairman of the Lagos zone of PENGASSAN, as well as Comrade Babatunde Ogun, the group’s national president.

“Asari Dokubo told our leaders that oil platforms will be occupied by Niger Delta militants if PENGASSAN decides to shut down production in solidarity with the ongoing labor strike,” said one source.

One source in the Presidency disclosed that President Jonathan had funneled funds to Asari Dokubo and a few Niger Delta militants in a bid to use them to harass striking unions.

“Nigerians and the world need to know that President Jonathan is personally authorizing and funding militants with a history of violence to intimidate labor leaders whose only offense is that they are pursuing legitimate demands through time-honored means,” said a lawyer who said he had been made aware of the threats.

Khloé Is a Kardashian --Kris Jenner

"I was there, I gave birth," Jenner, 56, told ABC News, following allegations made by Robert's other ex-wives, Ellen Kardashian and Jan Ashley. "I know who the dad was, everything's good. We're all good. Don't worry about it. Get a life."

Additionally, court documents point out that when Robert filed to annul his marriage from Ashley in 1999, his declaration to the judge addressed that they did not agree when it came to expanding the family. As he explained: "Since I already had four biological children [Khloé, Kim, Kourtney and Robert], I did not wish to have any more."

Pro Fuel Subsidy Removal: Did Nollywood stars get N200K Bribe?

From DailyPost....

On Friday December 30,2011 at Eko Hotel and Suites,Victoria Island,Lagos,it became the turn of Nigeria movie industry to collect their own share of the “Ghana-must-go” loads of naira notes that have changed hands over the fuel subsidy removal.

At the very moment when Nigerian “suffering masses” have not forgiven Nollywood stars for campaigning and voting Mr. President into office as a result of all the millions they got, they have done yet another grievous offense by accepting his bags of money to support fuel subsidy removal and keep mute while the poor masses are crying.

The closed door meeting took place during the Nollywood Forum entitled,”Understanding Deregulation”. Mr. Oronto Douglas, who represented Mr. President, outlined various promises and millions that will be allocated to various sectors of economy, states and local governments when fuel fuel subsidy removal comes to existence, concluding that economic development will take off through all the billions that will be realized from subsidy.

Vandalized Church Sign Calls Beyonce's Baby...'SATAN'

A mean and heartless vandal defaced the sign in front of a North Carolina church yesterday ... writing, "Beyonce had her baby Satan is on Earth."

According to TMZ,
The pastor at Beulah Hill Baptist Church in West End, NC tells TMZ, he discovered the vandalism yesterday after receiving numerous complaints from locals -- and removed it immediately.

The pastor insists, the church had nothing to do with the apocalyptic message ... it was simply the victim in a random act of mischief.
I don't envy the Carters right now, too much drama surrounding their baby....smh.

Nigeria heading towards civil war – Soyinka

NOBEL laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, on Tuesday reportedly told the BBC World Service in an interview on the state of the nation that the country was heading towards a civil war caused by the political leaders.

Soyinka said the issues raised by the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, which was blamed for violence targeting Christians in the and that has sparked fears of a wider religious conflict, had been brewing for some time.

The laureate said, “There are people in power in certain parts of the country, leaders, who quite genuinely and authoritatively hate and cannot tolerate any religion outside their own. “Those who have created this faceless army have lost control.”

He said, “The current security challenge has reinforced the need to aggressively pursue economic development and simultaneously implement the war on terrorism. In this regard, let me caution against reckless utterances by some Nigerians that endanger our national unity.

“Statements that encourage people to move from one region to another on the basis of faith and ethnicity are unpatriotic. It portends danger to our corporate existence and a clear invitation to anarchy.”
