Jay-Z Becomes Licensed NBA, MLB Agent, Signs Three-time NBA All-Star, Kevin Durant
The rap mogul is now licensed to work as an agent for
NBA and MLB players. He can now represent clients under his newly created
sports agency, 'Roc Nations Sports'.
With this development, Jay-Z has gone ahead to sign his first
client, Oklahoma City star and Olympic gold medalist, Kevin Durant who has
a 90.5 free throw shooting rate and become the youngest player in NBA history
to join the 50-40-90 club.
Kevin
is not the first sportsman to be signed into the sport agency, Jay-Z has
earlier signed NewYork Yankees second baseman, Robinson Cano, NewYork Jets quarterback, Geno Smith and
former Notre Dame guard, Skylar Diggins.

Jay-Z Set To Release New Album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’

During halftime of the NBA Finals on Sunday night, Jay-Z announced in a commercial for Samsung Mobile that his new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail will arrive July 7.
Through his partnership with Samsung Mobile, who purchased one million copies of the album, 1 million Samsung Galaxy fans will be able to download the app on June 24 and get the album for free on July 4, three days before the rest of the world does on July 7.
In the three-minute spot, the Roc Nation mogul can be seen working on new music with Famed producers, Rick Rubin, Timbaland, Pharrell, and Swizz Beatz who are the producers on the album.

Jay-Z joined wife Beyoncé for a surprise performance at Saturday’s Chime For Change: The Sound of Change Live concert in London.The rapper came out to perform their 2003 hit “Crazy in Love.”
While on stage, Jay affectionately cuddled with Beyoncé, who headlined the event and even gave her kisses. Love this couple!

The power couple stepped out looking like American royalty earlier today at the inauguration ceremony.
Jay-Z wore a Tom Ford suit, tie, and scarf while Beyonce with her killer curves on full display wore a black beaded Emilio Pucci long-sleeved gown with velvet detailing. The 31-year-old star covered up in the brisk weather, wearing a fur Christian Dior coat over her flowing frock. She also accessorized with an emerald Lorraine Schwartz cocktail ring and earrings.

Beyonce And Jay-Z Become Highest-Paid Celebrity Couple in the World
Wow! Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles have topped Forbes magazine's World's Highest Paid Celebrity Couples list 2012. The power pair are estimated to have made $78 million together in the financial year ending May 1, moving them from second place in last year's list, behind Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, to first.

Jay-Z is Executive Producing NBA 2K13 Video Game
Jay-Z already owns a stake in the Brooklyn Nets and now he is expanding his empire again, this time combining his love of basketball with 2K Sport’s popular video game franchise.
The rapper announced on Monday that he will serve as executive producer on the forthcoming NBA 2K13 video game, due out on Oct. 2. He also revealed a new trailer for the game on his Life + Times website, featuring narration from Michael Jordan and Jay-Z’s own song “Public Service Announcement.”
The 13th installment in 2K Sport’s series is currently available for pre-order and will be playable on PlayStation, Wii, Xbox 360 and more.

Jay-Z Facing $7 Million Lawsuit Over Roc-A-Fella Records Logo
Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z
is facing a $7 million lawsuit over allegations of unpaid royalties relating to
his record label's iconic logo.
Clothing designer, Dwayne Walker
claims he is owed money for creating the Roc-A-Fella Records symbol and he
filed papers in Manhattan Federal Court in New York on Thursday, citing
copyright infringement.
Former
Roc-A-Fella Records head Damon “Dame” Dash and Kareem ‘Biggs’ Burke were
included in the lawsuit where Walker claims he was to receive payments for
designing the logo until 2015.

In the suit,
he explained that he was paid $3,500 in 1995 for creating the logo design. He
was then allegedly given 2% royalties for anything that carried the logo
through the year 2015.
"The logo has
become universally recognized as an iconic symbol of Jay-Z, one of the most
successful recording artists in the history of popular music," he said in his
claim.

Nigeria’s Afro-Pop Sensation, Wizkid and Ghana’s “Rapperholic”, Sarkodie jointly won the Best AFrican Act at last night’s BET Awards in Los Angeles.
This is Wizkid‘s second major international award as he won the award for Best African Act at the 2011 edition of the MOBO Awards.
