Tiwa Savage, Ice Prince, Wizkid & Seun Kuti Nominated For Mobo Awards Best African Act
Congratulations are in order to Tiwa Savage, Seun Kuti, Ice Prince and Wizkid.
The nominees for this year's Mobo Awards were announced yesterday 3rd September 2013 in London and our Nigerian music stars were nominated for the Best African Act Category alongside Atumpan, Bombino, Fuse ODG, Liquideep, Mafikizolo and Spoek Mathambo.
The 18th annual MOBO Awards is set to take place in Scotland on Saturday 19th October 2013.

Channel O Music Video Awards 2013: Ice Prince, Wizkid, Others Nominated
Nominations for the 10th Annual Channel O Africa Music Awards were announced today which includes 14 categories. The will be held on the 30th of November at the Wlter Sisulu Square in Kliptown, Soweto. Voting opens tonight until 21 November.

Don Jazzy Named Richest Nigerian Artist And Second In Africa According To Forbes & Channel O List
Forbes Africa partnered with Channel O Africa to create the Top 10 Most Bankable Urban Artists
list and
it officially aired yesterday Sunday September 1 in East and
West Africa at 9pm.
The list was based on the artists brand value, music sales,
performance price tags, social media influence, music awards won and

Wizkid Justifies Replacing His N15million Porsche Panamera Car After Accident
The pop star has been heavily criticized after replacing his N15million Porsche Panamera car with a brand new one less than few weeks after crashing it in an accident. During an interview with Encomium magazine, he talks about the reason why he purchased the new car. Read the excerpt below,
"I needed to get another one because after the accident, I didn't have a car and I have to move around. I started taking cabs before I decided to buy this new car to move around. It is needed for work. And I don't think there's anything wrong in splashing millions on a car. If someone works hard and decides to spend on something that he thinks is good for him, why not? In fact, I don't think there's need to justify whether its is wrong or not. I work hard and I will enjoy my money"

"I don’t like D’banj, he sold his soul to the Devil" - Majek Fashek
The veteran reggae musician, Majek Fashek seems to be impressed with few of the younger generation of Nigerian artistes but disapproves of one.
According to an interview with thenetng, he says;
‘I like Wizkid and 2face, they play good music, I don’t like that other boy called D’banj, those ones that went to join Illuminati. How can you go and sell your soul to the devil because you want to be famous. I don’t even like his music anyway’.
Whoops! D banj isn't going to like this.
