Bikinis Banned at Miss World 2013 Pageant in Indonesia

After more than six decades of flaunting flesh, bikinis will be banned at this year's Miss World pageant to avoid offending the Muslim population of Indonesia, where the 2013 contest will be hosted.
Beach fashion will still feature in the pageant, but the 137 beauty queens will wear more conservative outfits, such as sarongs.
Miss World Organisation chairwoman Julia Morley told AFP she did not want to "upset or get anyone in a situation where we are being disrespectful".
She added: "We treasure respect for all the countries that take part in the pageant.
For those who watch just to see the ladies strut in the two piece... sorry till next year.
