Former Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, has blamed
ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo for the prevailing poor power supply in
the country. He said Obasanjo-led administration wasted a whopping N16bn
between 1999 and 2007on electricity supply without result.
"I heard
Obasanjo's government spent $16billion on power, if I had such amount
when I was President, I would not only provide adequate power but will
build a nuclear power station... $1 was N10 during my time, how I wish
it was N120, Nigerians would have seen wonders." - General Ibrahim
Babangida.
