8. March 13: Assassinated Muslim cleric Imam Ibrahim Ahmed
                  Abdullahi in Maiduguri.

                 brother of the Shehu of Borno, in Maiduguri.

16. June 6: Assassinated Muslim cleric Ibrahim Birkuti in
                Maiduguri.

17. June 7:Attacked a church and police stations in Maiduguri
               and five.

18. June 16: Bombed at police headquarters in Abuja

19. June 26: Gunmen shoot and bomb a bar in Maiduguri kills
                  some 25 people.

20. August 25: Attack on banks and police station in Gombi,
                     Adamawa State.

21. August 26: United Nation Offices Bombing
