Lionel Messi Wins Fourth Ballon d'Or

Messi, 25, has again won the Ballon d'Or for the fourth time after winning it in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

The Barcelona player also broke Gerd Muller’s 40-year-old record last month, December
2012 by scoring 91 goals in a calendar year.  

Congrats to him.

Barcelona Superstar, Lionel Messi Welcomes Baby Boy

The football star announced the birth of his first child, Thiago today (November 2).

Messi’s partner, Antonella Roccuzzo, delivered their son at the Dexeus hospital about 700 metres (less than half a mile) from Barcelona’s Camp Nou stadium.

“Today I am the happiest man in the world, my son was born and thanks to God for this gift! Thanks to my family for the support! A hug to everyone,” the 25-year-old Argentine said on his Facebook page.

Big congratulations to them.

Spanish footballer Andres Iniesta wed long term partner Anna Ortiz over the weekend, in a beautiful ceremony in Altafulla, North East Spain.

The bride wore a stunning tiered lace halterneck gown, teamed with a 1920s style lace cap veil with floral applique, which was worn to the side - not dissimilar to the styles worn by both Kate Moss and Lily Allen when they said their vows.

Lionel Messi wins Third Straight Ballon d'Or Award


24 year old Barcelona and Argentina forward, Lionel Messi was awarded the FIFA Ballon d'Or for the third successive year.

The Argentina forward beat team-mate Xavi and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo to the title of the world's best player.

Messi, man of the match in the Champions League final in 2011, also won the Spanish league, Spanish Supercopa, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup last year.

Barcelona's Guardiola was named the world's best coach in 2011 after guiding Barcelona to five trophies including the Champions League, Spanish and Club World Cup.

Guardiola won the FIFA honour ahead of Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho and Ferguson.
