More Photos From CNN Anchor Isha Sesay And Leif Coorlim Wedding In Georgia

CNN anchor Isha Sesay tied the knot with Leif Coorlim, executive editor of The CNN Freedom Project, in a fun, relaxed, romantic, elegant and unconventional wedding (their words) in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Saturday.
The couple, who met in 2008 after working on a CNN series together in Atlanta were friends for several years and began dating in 2011, after Sesay "brazenly asked Coorlim out for a drink," as she described it.
Sesay says her favorite thing about Coorlim is his "kindness." She explains:
"He has an extraordinarily large heart, and every day he does something that impresses me and makes me want to be a better person. He’s truly a special soul."

The beautiful anchor married her fellow CNN colleague, Leif Coorlim on Sunday in front of close friends and family at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.

The bride in her strapless, custom Amsale gown featuring elaborate beadwork tells PEOPLE;
"Our day exceeded my wildest dreams, it was magical. When I saw Leif standing at the end of the aisle, I felt as if my heart would explode. I married the man of my dreams in front of the people we care about the most. And then we partied the night away."

Talking about her gown she said;
"Amsale herself was with me as I tried on different dresses at her Madison Avenue showroom in New York, she was wonderful. After trying on a number of gowns, Amsale, my stylist Stacey Brice Washington and I agreed that this was the dress for me!"

Sesay, 37, is an anchor/correspondent for CNN International and newsreader for Anderson Cooper 360. She met Coorlim, 34, executive editor of The CNN Freedom Project" – a CNN-wide campaign to help end child prostitution and forced labor in the United States and around the world – in 2008 at the network where they both still work.

Congrats to the couple!
