Memorial Photos: One Year Remembrance of Dana Air Crash Victims

A Memorial service in honour of the Dana crash victims took place today at the Iju/Ishaga memorial Arcade with families of the victims, Lagos State government officials, including governor Babatunde Fashola present. 

A Cenotaph with 153 names of the victims engraved on the tomb was unveiled. This according to Fashola will stand as a permanent memorial for them and also ensure that their memories never die.

Following the public's reactions to celebs like Basketmouth, Buchi and others boarding their inaugural flight from Lagos to Abuja on Friday January 4th and allegedly compensated, Dana Air released a statement via their Facebook page to address the issue.

Photos: Dana Air Resumes Flight

Seven months after it was banned by the Federal Government following the crash of its flight, MD 83 J9 992 in Lagos on June 3, 2012, killing 163 persons, Dana Air officially resumed its operations yesterday.

The inaugural flight kicked off its commercial flight from Lagos to Abuja filled with both local and international Journalists, Airline Officials, Entertainers like Basketmouth who is the airline's ambassador, Buchi, Dipp, Harrysong and others.
