Following the kidnap of Nollywood Actress and Special Assistant to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State on Public Affairs, Nkiru Sylvanus, in Owerri her subsequent release after the sum of N8million was reportedly paid as ransom, the Imo State Police Command yesterday said it has arrested four suspects, who played key roles in her abduction.
The Police Commissioner, Adisa Bolanta also revealed that three teams of police operatives carried out a serious man hunt for Nkiru’s kidnappers and eventually arrested the four suspects, Okoro basil, Stella Opara, Festus Olegeme and Chijioke Chima at their hideout at Imerienwe in Ngor Okpalla LGA.
He said the suspects in their separate statements had confessed to the crime, adding that they implicated Chinedu Okoro alias Mopol, Ifeanyi Onyekwe alias Alaye, Ezekwem Onyekwe and Ifeanyi (surname held) as the main kidnappers of the Nollywood actress.
