Wearing a red cocktail dress and white fur stole, the 25-year-old actress perfectly recreates one of Taylor's most famous photographs in the publicity shots for the tv film.
On set she has also been spotted wearing classic Taylor-style maxi kaftan-style dresses and a floppy straw hats.
Speaking of her role, Lohan said: "I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor.
"She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honoured to have been asked to play this role."
