'Nothing prepares one for that mountain' - Funmi Iyanda Returns from Mount Kilimanjaro
Funmi Iyanda just decended mount Kilimanjaro after five days of hiking and climbing for 10 hours a day through rain forest, tundra and artic regions.
On March 5, the television talkshow personality and journalist joined 32 other personalities to climb Africa’s highest mount, a project organised by the Africa UNITE campaign group as part of a crusade to end violence against women and girls.
Other climbers included South African rock band, the Parlotones; South African actress, Rosie Motene; human rights lawyer, Ann Njogu; Congolese singer, Barbara Kanam; and many other African women and men. They were expected to arrive at Africa’s highest summit on Thursday, which fell on International Women’s Day.
In her tweets Saturday evening (March 10), she recounted how she had no bath and was equipped with bare necessities, climbing at 20 degrees in a winding ascent.
She said she vomitted, had diarhoea, sleep apnea and dizziness. “I was cut off completely. Nothing prepares one for that mountain. Nothing. At a point, l questioned my sanity. I wept many times.

What is the best advice you've ever received?
That you'll never be able to please everyone in life, so stop trying. You'll end up wasting your life and losing yourself. Just stay true to who you are.

In Keeping Up With the Kardashians, you talk about being bullied and picked on. How did you overcome this?
Being bullied is awful. We live in a world where some people bring others down in order to make themselves feel better. Sad, but true. I've been blessed to have an amazing family unit that constantly provides me with support. It's interesting because my being bullied as a kid has actually prepared me, in a way, to face the negativity, which is much more public now. I truly try to not pay attention to it. I know my strengths and I know who I am. I know my heart. So I just believe that for every hater or bully I have there are 100 people who love me.

I was good at faking an illness in boarding school back in my junior secondary days. I wasn’t a prescription drug addict so it wasn’t about wanting to have pills shoved down my throat. I usually did it close enough to our visiting day so my parents were worried enough to get permission to take me home for better treatment. That instantly meant plenty cable TV time without having to listen to my annoying Business Studies teacher.
But I must have been 12 years old or so when I actually fell ill for real, many days before visiting day. There was no one to baby me so I had no choice but to be sent straight to the school clinic and dumped with the school nurse. There were legendary tales about her. And you know secondary school tales can be legendary.
Anyways, the malaria was killing me and I just needed something, anything to make me live again. She called me up after a few minutes. I tried to stand up but was too dizzy. She went; “My friend stand up. There are other people waiting.” I eventually went to her. She felt my neck with the back of her hands, checked my eyes and told me to sit. She pulled out a syringe, and filled it with something, then told me to pull my shorts down and submit my buttocks.
Poke! Then she pulled out the needle. I thought to myself that it went by really fast. Just as I was about to put on my shorts, she said; “I haven’t given it yet.” I was startled. Then she wiped another spot on my butt cheek with her cotton wool and poked again. Three seconds later, she pulled it out again. I asked if she was done and she said; “No, I’m not getting the spot well.” At this point, I was just about ready to die and make sure she got sued for murder.

According to TMZ, Bobbi Kristina has inherited all of her mother's fortune which is valued around $20million.
The 19 year old will have access to her inheritance in stages, earning a portion when she turns 21, another chunk when she turns 25, and the rest when she turns 30.

The reality star, 31, is donating double the value of what she and ex-husband, Kris Humphries received as wedding gifTs to the Dream Foundation which is a California charity that assists terminally ill patients,
According to TMZ, Kim sent the above letter to every guest at the Kim K / Kris Humphries wedding.
The total cash-value of gifts were reportedly estimated around a $100,000 but Kim Kardashian wrote a check twice that amount for the worthy charity.
